If you participate in any ONE of the following programs you may be eligible for Lifeline discount on your telephone bill:
Please note that Chickasaw Telephone customers in our 9 exchange areas (Sulphur, Lone Grove, Springer, Paoli, Rosedale, Dougherty, Air Park, Gene Autry and Woodford) are located on Tribal Land for Lifeline application purposes.
All single-line residential customers, including Lifeline customers, have an unlimited number of minutes for calls made within their local calling area.
For calls outside of the local calling area, Lifeline customers may subscribe to long distance service offered by Chickasaw Long Distance Company at a non-discounted rate of $.045/minute. Lifeline customers may also choose another long distance carrier. Lifeline customers may elect to subscribe to toll blocking at no charge.
Lifeline program reductions do not apply to additional services such as custom calling features. Lifeline customers may subscribe to these services at the same rates offered to other customers.
In all of the Company’s exchanges, residential customers who qualify for the Lifeline program receive a discount of $24.50 on local voice telephony service
Lifeline customers may also subscribe to any generally available bundled service offering that includes local voice telephony service.
How do I apply?
To apply for Lifeline, call (800) 344.3401. You will be asked to provide proof of your eligibility by providing a copy of a document that verifies that you participate in any of the programs listed above. Benefits will become available following proof of eligibility.
